A Little Bit About Neil

In high school, I performed publicly, playing bass in a number of bands. During college, I found the first opportunity to perform original songs at coffee houses. A meeting with Ken Katz and Jack Braggan at the Backstreet Café led to the formation of “The Katz n Braggan Kidds” and we hit the road. After meeting my soul-mate (Mary) I took a break from active touring to start our family and was blessed with 2 wonderful children (Anthony & Sarah). I continued to write and would perform occasionally. I also got involved in Theater where I played various roles including Judas for 6 yrs. in the Pennsauken Alliance for the Preforming Arts production of "Jesus Christ Superstar". When in 2004 I was asked by high school band mate, Dan Montgomery, to join “The Dan Montgomery Ward” an acoustic trio. I recorded on Dan’s second album, "The Man From Out Of State" at Easley McCain studios in Memphis. In 2005, Drexel University music student, Ryann Lynch (Hogmaw / Black Horse Motel), along with her parents Rusty & Terri, presented the opportunity to record my first album which was titled "Senior Project". Songwriting and preforming will always be my passion though these days most of my gigs are spent rewinding to the 60's with the Collins/Flynn Band.

What started as a group of friends getting together to jam in the basement to the songs they grew up playing and listening to soon lead to their graduation to the family picnic and BBQ circuit. People started to talk and it wasn’t long after that the request for performances at fundraisers and church events came rock n rollin’ in.

If names like Strawberry Alarm Clock, Crazy Elephant, The Marmalade, Vanity Fare, The McCoys & John Fred & his Playboy Band bring back memories of signing along with your ol’ AM car radio, then this band is for you. And what 60’s band would be complete without the music of the Beatles, Rolling Stones, Turtles, Tommy James & the Shondells, Herman’s Hermits, Lovin’ Spoonful, Steppenwolf, Young Rascals and many, many more! The Collins/Flynn Band is known for their musicianship, song selection and harmonies guaranteed to get you singing along and keep your foot tappin’ all night long.
